I'm Jyles, a relatively new commercial pilot. In todays world, it has become increasingly difficult and costly to get your first flying job. My goal with SFFR is to help a variety of people with separate needs, those who like time building at an affordable price and those who see value in the technicality of back country flying.
I had my first taste of flying to a remote airstrip in January 2026 and since then I have been searching for a way to get back into it. The end goal here is to have two aircraft in our fleet. One aircraft will be a familiar airframe to most pilots with a small amount of back country capability, the other will be an agile powerhouse, like a Super Cub or Husky.
Soft Field Flight Rentals is based in Pitt Meadows and we currently are still shopping for the first aircraft.
